I am so excited to be reviewing the Champagne Collection Face Palette, a limited-edition collaboration between the amazing brand BECCA and the even more amazing YouTube beauty guru and makeup artist Jaclyn Hill! I have been dreaming about this beauty ever since Jaclyn first started talking about it and the second (literally the second) it launched on the Sephora website I bought it and was lucky enough to receive it in the mail a few days ago! Since then, I’ve been using it a lot, so I thought this detailed review may be helpful for those of you who would like to know more about it…
About the Product
This exlusive limited-edition face palette costs $52 from Sephora and is an extension of Jaclyn’s original “Champagne Pop” collaboration. The formulas are the same as all the other BECCA products, but Jaclyn was very hands-on when customizing each of the five shades within this palette. Although it did sell out extremely quickly on its original May 26th launch date, it will be restocked both in-stores and online on June 16th. However, Jaclyn made it clear that once it sells out that day, it will not be resocked ever again, so if you want it, make sure to set your alarm and be prepared!
As for the packaging, this palette is just as fabulous as I expected it to be! Jaclyn loves white and gold, and the lid of this palette features her name surrounded by the BECCA logo with golden confetti dots gracing the front to go along with the champagne-inspired celebration! It snaps closed completely and even though it feels suprisingly lightweight and compact, you can tell it’s very sturdy, so you don’t have to worry about opening up or breaking when you’re on the go. On the inside of the lid, there is a huge mirror which, unlike many other mirrors, does not distort your face and is so stunning! This palette is far more travel-friendly and convenient than I initially expected it to be and I will definitely be bringing it with me on summer vacations!
The formula of these two highlighters, like all of BECCA’s Pressed Shimmering Skin Perfectors, is absolutely the best of the best and they are extremely pigmented, buttery, blendable, and long-lasting, making them ideal for creating an intense glow on the highpoints of the face including the tops of the cheekbones, the bridge of the nose, the cupid’s bow, the inner corners of the eye, and the browbones. The normal highlighters are 0.28 ounces for $38 and both of these are 0.19 ounces .
“Champagne Pop”: The highlighter that started it all: a soft white gold shade with peach undertones that looks good on all skintones, including very fair ones. If you want to know more about the formula and quality of “Champagne Pop” and the overall BECCA Pressed Shimmering Skin Perfrectors, please click here to read my in-depth review.
“Prosecco Pop”: This brand new limited-edition highlighter (aka “Champagne Pop’s Little Sister”) is a stunning medium warm gold shade that looks best on dark skintones. Personally, I prefer “Champagne Pop” more than this one just because I like the shade better, but I do enjoy mixing the two together to create a more golden glow for summer when I’m more tan.
Each of the three blushes are incredibly pigmented and last all day, so you only need to apply the tiniest amount to the cheeks. They are all limited-edition blushes exclusive to this palette and were created by Jaclyn. I think that they would all look beautiful on each and every skintone and the colors are really nice for Spring and Summer! I love how well they all combine and layer with each other, so even though there are three blushes in the palette, you can actually customize four other shades as well when you mix different finishes and colors. The usual BECCA blushes are 0.21 ounces for $34, while these three are a little over 0.1 ounces.
“Rose Spritz”: This is a soft peachy pink Luminous Blush with pale gold shimmer and the formula of this particular shade is identical to those of the BECCA highlighters. It makes you look really healthy and blends so nicely with the rest of your makeup without leaving too much shimmer. It gives off such a stunning glow that you almost don’t even want to use either of the highlights, but don’t worry, I said almost.
“Amaretto”: This is a Mineral Blush in a matte “toasted almond” shade. You know those times when you are wearing really dramatic eye makeup or bold lipstick and aren’t sure which blush to wear? Well, this is the perfect blush for those types of days because its neutral, but still adds a natural matte wash of color to your face. Because it is such a pretty warm nude shade, I can tell that I will be reaching for this often for my everyday makeup looks. I am so glad that Jaclyn decided to inlude a shade like this in the palette because I’ve been wanting a similar color for a long time now and this is literally my dream blush!
“Pamplemousse”: This is matte warm coral pink Mineral Blush with a beautiful sheen. There is absolutely no shimmer, but it does leave behind a really natural and pretty glow, which I love! Although I’m not normally a huge fan of bright pink blushes like this one, I do enjoy using a very little amount on the apples of my cheeks or layering it with the other shades!
Overall, this palette is absolutely the most beautiful product I’ve ever seen and that’s saying quite a lot coming from a girl who’s completely obsessed with everything makeup-related! It does seem like a lot of money, but honeslty, it is completely worth it (even if you aren’t a huge Jaclyn Hill fan like I am) because you get so much for such a great value and the quality is amazing. Before buying this, I wasn’t entirely sure I would like all the five shades, but after swatching it, I truly fell in love. So, if you are interested in this palette, all I can say is I truly hope you have the opportunity to purchase it because you will not regret it!
