MAC “Velvet Teddy” Lipstick Dupe

“Velvet Teddy” is one of MAC’s most popular lipstick shades and there is a good reason why! It’s is a beautiful matte deep-tone beige that looks good on lots of skintones and is perfect for that everyday “my-lips-but-better” mauvey-brown nude look!

The only problem is that MAC “Velvet Teddy” costs $17, which is why I wanted to find a dupe to help you save money. I was lucky enought to find a great alternative and that is the Wet n Wild MegaLast Lip Color in “Bare It All”, which is under $2 at most drugstores!

Swatches from Left to Right: Wet n Wild “Bare It All” and MAC “Velvet Teddy”

They are almost identical in color. When swatched, you can see that “Bare It All” is a tiny bit lighter than “Velvet Teddy”, but when you actually apply the shades to your lips, you honeslty can’t tell the difference between the two shades. I personally prefer “Bare It All” because it suits my warm tan skin better since it has a hint more warmth in it whereas “Velvet Teddy” is more neutral.

As for the formula, they are both creamy, completely matte shades that are long-lasting and pigmented. I would say “Bare It All” is actually less drying on the lips, but both formulas are amazing and feel very high quality!

They both look perfect with any type of makeup look, look stunning on a wide variety of skintones, and I reach for “Bare It All” almost everyday. It has quickly become my holy grail lipstick and I can’t reccommend this dupe enough! Overall, you end up saving $15, but I would be willing to pay far more. Thanks to this wonderful discovery, we don’t have to!
