Urban Decay All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray

Hello lovelies! In my recent Poll (please share your feedback if you haven’t already!) I asked all of you which product you wanted me to review and the Urban Decay “All Nighter” Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray tied for first place! If you want to know more about my opinions on this product, keep reading!

Sephora describes it as a “weightless setting spray that keeps makeup looking just-applied for up to 16 hours”. It claims to “lower the temperature of your makeup to keep foundation, eyeshadow, blush, and concealer in place” to create “smoother-looking skin” and prevent “melting, cracking, fading, or settling into fine lines”. Are all these claims true?

The answer is yes! During this time of the year, I have very dry skin in the morning, which gets slightly oily in my T-zone throughout the day. As a result, my foundation usually looks completely gone after 8 hours, which is not cute. However, this really does make my makeup last the entire day and definitely 16 hours!

When I am done with all of my makeup, I will spray this over my entire face to ensure that it will not budge. All you have to do is shake the bottle, hold it about 8 inches away from your face, and mist your face 2 to 4 times in an “X” and “T” formation. These simple steps will set your makeup and guarantee that it lasts for a longer amount of time.

You can also spray some of this on your face before you apply your makeup and it will act like a primer to give your foundation something to stick to. Depending on what I need on a given day, I will use this before my foundation, after all my makeup is done, or both! The only thing I would advise you to do is to do your liquid eyeliner and/or mascara after you spray this on your face. If you do your mascara and eyeliner first and then spray this after, everything will run and smear all over your perfect makeup and that isn’t fun, so be careful!

This specific “All Nighter” formula is meant for all skin types to make your makeup last at least 16 hours, but Urban Decay also offers a variety of setting sprays for different skin types. They have the “Chill” Cooling and Hydrating Makeup Setting Spray, which is targeted at people with dry skin and makes your makeup more refreshed, dewy, and long-lasting. They also have the “De-Slick” Oil Control Makeup Setting Spray, which is intended for people with more oily skin and controls oil to keep your makeup matte an long-lasting.

I think this is the perfect product to use on special occasions (parties, school dances, weddings, or other formal events, especially ones where I know I will be taking lots of photos) when I really need and/or want my makeup to look fresh all day. If I wasn’t on a budget, I would use this everyday that I apply a full face of makeup, but since it’s a bit pricey for me, I don’t use it everyday. A travel-size bottle is $14 for 1 ounce of product and a full-size container is $30 for 4 ounces. I bought the mini one just to try it out first, but as soon as mine runs out I will definitely be running to Sephora to purchase the larger one, since it’s a much better deal. You get 4 times more product for only double the price! Even though this is a bit of an investment, I honestly believe that everyone should at least try this once. We spend all of this money on foundation, concealer, blush, bronzer, highlighter, and eyeshadow, and it only makes since to invest in something that will allow all of those products to actually be visible at the end of the day. All in all, I love the Urban Decay “All Nighter” Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray; it does what it promises, it’s worth the money, and I definitely recommend this to all of you.

XOXO,
Makena💗
